Thank you for the lift
You saw my bags and took a few; The heavy day grew lighter, too. A helping hand, a simple smile Can change the weather for a while.

Saturday shoes
My shoes have plans to roam about And take their sleepy owner out. They wait beside the kitchen door; I think they know a path to explore.

Try the handle
A door may look too tall and wide Before you see the other side. You needn't know what waits ahead; Just try the handle first instead.
Encouragement · Hopeful
Early sky
A stripe of pink, a wash of gray, The sky is trying on the day. It needn't choose a perfect hue; A little light will see it through.
Everyday · Hopeful
The last little light
One window holds a golden square; A sleepy cat is curled up there. The lamp goes out, the curtains sway; The house has put its books away.
Bedtime · Peaceful
The blanket island
My blanket makes an island small Where noisy waves can't reach at all. The pillow is a sandy shore; I'll sail tomorrow, dream some more.
Bedtime · Warm
The firefly lantern
A firefly lit a leafy lane Then turned its lantern off again. The cricket hummed a tune so deep The whole green garden fell asleep.
Bedtime · Peaceful
Enough for this evening
Put down the list beside your chair; The unfinished things can wait right there. You gave today the strength you had; A restful night is yours to add.
Encouragement · Peaceful
Home in your hello
The city hums, the buses go; I find my home in your hello. Whatever roads the daylight brings, Your voice is where my evening sings.
Love · Tender
The umbrella vote
Two puddles voted for the rain; One sock would like the sun again. My red umbrella took the floor: Let's splash a little, then explore.
Everyday · Playful
Another candle
One candle more, one wish to make, One slightly bigger slice of cake. May every year bring something new And friends to share the crumbs with you.

Lunch with a friend
A sandwich split, a chair pulled near, A story only you would hear. No grand event, no fancy view; A lovely lunch because of you.
